About Jeffrey Holt
Born September 27, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina, Jeffrey Holt is the eighth child of a family of ten. He grew up fascinated with music. Influenced mostly by the early sound of Motown and other R&B artists who were recording with other major labels of that era, he decided to teach himself to play the bass guitar. His love for music began creating wonderful opportunities early on for him, beginning with a semi-national TV commercial for Canada Dry while still in high school. Not long after high school, Holt began touring as the bass guitarist and band director for the world famous Coaster, and since then has had the privilege to work with recording artists such as Natalie Cole, Pebo Bryson, Drifters, Archie Bell & the Drells, Dennis Edwards of the Temptations, The Marvelletts, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Manhattans, and many others.
